Who's behind it

I'm Nick. I run Kompound out of the Okanagan, with roots in IT and a diploma in cyber security. Over the years I've been the person people call when their site is broken, their hosting bill just doubled, or they need a tool that does exactly one thing really well — and I started Kompound to make that kind of help easier to find.

Why it exists

Most of the web hosting world has a clear split: there's the enterprise side, where everything is powerful, expensive, and overcomplicated; and there's the template-builder side, where everything is cheap, generic, and impossible to really customize. Small and solo businesses end up stuck between the two — paying too much for features they don't need, or fighting a page builder that won't let them do what they actually want.

Kompound is built for that middle. Easy to work with, easy to customize, and priced for a real small business. You shouldn't need a marketing budget the size of a small-town Main Street just to put your name online.

How I work

Every project starts with a short conversation — what you do, who you're trying to reach, and what actually needs to be on the site. From there I build, host, and maintain it for you, on modern infrastructure that stays fast and keeps costs low. No surprise monthly jumps, no locked-in proprietary platforms.

Where I work

Focused on the Okanagan — Kelowna, West Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton — and happy to work with small businesses anywhere in Western Canada. In-person conversations when you're nearby, video and email when you're not.
